An autographed jersey worn by Lakers legend Kobe Bryant during the 07/08 season was sold at Sotheby`s for $5. 85 million.


This result is a record for the cost of any item associated with Bryant. Among the most expensive basketball jerseys ever sold, this Kobe jersey ranks second.


At the end of the 07/08 season, Bryant was recognized as NBA MVP for the only time in his career. When the defenseman was awarded the trophy at Staples Center on May 7, 2008, he was wearing this jersey.


Bryant wore it in 25 games prediction by buy insider tips this season, including six playoff games.


Since Bryant`s death three years ago, murals have appeared around the world of the famed basketball player wearing the jersey. According to Sotheby`s, along with the T-shirt, the lot included a collection of photographs of these murals taken by Greg Cohen.
