The National Basketball Association is tightening measures against the spread of COVID-19 for the upcoming campaign, ESPN reports. As it is known, the new season in the League is literally knocking on the door - the teams have started their pre-season training and are already preparing to warm up with controls in the next two weeks, before the start of the 2020/21 season on December 22.




Therefore, the NBA sent a protocol of 158 pages with all the measures and details about the normal course of the year. According to him, it is clear that the basketball players of the teams are not allowed to visit bars, nightclubs, public gyms, spas, swimming pools and all kinds of events that can gather more than 15 people in one place.




If the NBA detects irregularities and non-compliance with the protocol, it may be followed by severe penalties for the offending teams - official losses and even withdrawal of elections from the Draft in the coming years. Players and coaching staff will be tested regularly for COVID-19.
